The most prevalent change for us humans was the creation of the First Ascended. Crafted to survive in the coming storms and wars of the Cataclysm, these hardy men and woman were stronger, faster, smarter, more resourceful and longer-lived than their forefathers. Empowered by Magic through the lost arts of Psyance, within them was an attunement to the winds of Magic, allowing them exemplary power without the use of special trinkets that the Untouched use today. The clans of the First Ascended played the long game of survival.

We think that the Air Wings weren’t natural to our Ancestors world at that time, or maybe even ever. Created by our Ancestors powerful Psyance’s, these creatures, along with many of the other relic-beats, were conceived to bring about a viable eco-system to a dying world, to second guess a vengeful mother-nature and side step several million years of evolution, a desperate bid to keep up with the unnatural rate of change mankind had inflicted upon their environment.
